Since 1986 Blandings has offered the finest
selection of privately-owned country houses available for holiday
rental in Britain - and recently we extended our portfolio to
include equally unique and imposing properties in southern Europe.
As the majority of our properties are private homes, for security
reasons most cannot be featured in detail on a web site. Our
site provides just a taste of what we do: the areas we cover
& the style of properties we offer.
Our philosophy is simple: Properties - like
people - have personalities, and experience has taught us that
expectations of 'the perfect house' vary enormously. Just as
these unique properties demand special attention, each enquiry
we receive is given individual consideration and is dealt with
courteously & knowledgeably to ensure that guests choose
the best house to suit them.
Once we know your requirements, details of possible properties
will be forwarded to you by return.
Each of our properties has a description sheet
providing both interior and exterior photography, a summary
of the accommodation available and Blandings' own appraisal
of the property and its location. To ensure that properties
are represented appropriately, all descriptions are prepared
by a senior member of staff who has inspected the property.
In most instances, the photography provided is our own - but
in all cases it is chosen to provide an authentic portrayal.
Some houses are located in the most beautiful landscapes; others
have access to first-class sporting facilities, whilst others
offer staff to rival the finest hotel. Each house is completely
individual, and our aim is to describe each property’s
unique qualities & features accurately. Examples
of our property descriptions can be viewed by 'clicking' on
the photographs.
Our properties are available primarily for family
holidays, typically for periods of one week up to 3-6 months.
Occasionally, they are available for long weekends, film &
photographic work, conferences, reunions and weddings. Please
